MESSAGE FROM THE GOVERNOR (Assents to Bills passed)

Mr Speaker: I have received a message from His Excellency the Governor dated the 18th February, 1959, informing me that, in accordance with the provisions of Section 62 (2) of the Singapore Colony Orders in Council, 1955 and 1956, His Excellency had that day assented to the following Bills:-

(i) Civil Law (Amendment) Bill;

(ii) Southern Islands Local Council (Amendment) Bill;

(iii) Federal Lands Commissioner, Federation of Malaya (Incorporation) Bill;

(iv) Local Government (Amendment) Bill;

(v) Singapore Traction (Amendment) Bill;

(vi) Entertainments Duty (Amendment) Bill.
