MESSAGE FROM THE GOVERNOR (Assents to Bills passed)

[Mr Speaker in the Chair]

Mr Speaker: I have received a message from His Excellency the Governor dated the 16th March, 1959, informing me that, in accordance with the provisions of section 62 (2) of the Singapore Colony Orders in Council, 1955 and 1956, His Excellency had that day assented to the following Bills:

(i) Adoption of Children (Amendment) Bill;

(ii) Immigration (Amendment) Bill;

(iii) Dangerous Drugs (Amendment) Bill;

(iv) Minor Offences (Amendment) Bill;

(v) Midwives (Amendment) Bill;

(vi) Singapore Legislative Assembly Elections (Amendment) Bill;

(vii) Nanyang University Bill.
