The Deputy Prime Minister (Dr Toh Chin Chye): Mr Speaker, Sir, I beg to move,

That this Assembly resolves that amendments, as recommended in paragraph 3 of the Second Report of the Standing Orders Committee and contained in Paper L.A. (New Series) 5 of 1959, be and are hereby made to the Standing Orders of this Assembly.

Mr Speaker, the amendments I refer to have already been circulated to Members of the House in the Second Report of the Standing Orders Committee. These amendments relate to financial procedure and I do not believe that there is anything controversial in the amendments to be moved in this House.

Dr Lee Siew Choh (Queenstown): I second the motion.

Question put, and agreed to.

Resolved,

That this Assembly resolves that amendments, as recommended in paragraph 3 of the Second Report of the Standing Orders Committee and contained in Paper L.A. (New Series) 5 of 1959, be and are hereby made to the Standing Orders of this Assembly.
