FISHING IN INDONESIAN WATERS (Negotiations with Indonesian Government)

Inche Ahmad Jabri Bin Mohammad Akib asked the Minister for National Development what progress has been made for, or in, negotiations with the Indonesian Government for Malay fishermen to fish in Indonesian territorial waters off Singapore.
Inche Yaacob Bin Mohamed (Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for National Development) (for the Minister for National Development): (In Malay): Mr Speaker, I have been asked by my Minister to reply to this question.
As negotiations with the Indonesian Government on the subject are still in progress, I am not in a position to make any statement at the present moment. A statement will be issued when the negotiations have been finalised.
