MACPHERSON HOMES ESTATE (Street lights)

Mr S. V. Lingam asked the Minister for National Development whether he would consider providing street lights to MacPherson Home Estate.

Mr Lim Kim San: Mr Speaker, Sir, street lights have already been installed in the streets in MacPherson Homes Estate at a cost of $22,000. These lights were turned on on 5th March, 1964.

MacPherson Homes Estate is a private housing estate. The roads in this Estate were until recently private streets. Streets lights were installed after the roads were made up to the satisfaction of the Director of Public Works and taken over as public streets.
