ANCHORAGE FACILITIES AT UPPER SERANGOON ROAD

Mr Ng Kah Ting asked the Minister for Law and National Development whether and when the Government will improve the anchorage facilities for fishing boats near the jetty at the end of Upper Serangoon Road.
The Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for National Development (Mr Ho Cheng Choon) (for the Minister for Law and National Development): Mr Speaker, Sir, I am directed to answer on behalf of my Minister.
An area of about 6,006 square yards near the jetty at the end of Upper Serangoon Road has been erected in order to improve the anchorage facilities for fishing boats and others using the jetty at a cost of $30,000. The work was completed on 15th October, 1965.
