TIONG BAHRU CONSTITUENCY (Building of more schools)

Mr Ch'ng Jit Koon asked the Minister for Education, as there are only two primary schools, one Chinese and the other English, in the Tiong Bahru. Constituency, and in view of the development of more Housing and Development Board housing estates in that constituency, if his Ministry plans to build more schools in that Constituency what are the types of schools that will be built, and when they will be built.

Mr Ong Pang Boon: Mr Speaker, Sir, there is no plan to build any primary school in the Tiong Bahru Constituency.
