JALAN UBI (Making up of portion between Pan Island Expressway and Airport Road)

Tuan Haji Mohd. Ariff Bin Suradi asked the Minister for Law and National Development if the portion of ialan libi between the Pan Island Expressway and Airport Road will also be made up.

The Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Law and National Development (Mr Ho Cheng Choon) (for the Minister for Law and National Development): Mr Speaker, Sir, comprehensive development plans are now being prepared by the Housing and Development Board to develop the area around that section of Jalan Ubi between the Pan Island Expressway and Airport Road. As the planning is still in the preliminary stage, it is too early to say whether or not this section of Jalan Ubi will be made up.

Tuan Haji Mohd. Ariff: (In Malay): Mr Speaker, Sir, when can the plan be expected to he completed?

Mr Ho Cheng Choon: The plan will be ready very soon. The Member can be rest assured that he will be supplied with a copy when it is finalised.
