SEMBAWANG MALAY SETTLEMENT (Making up of Kampong roads)

Mr Teong Eng Siong asked the Minister for Law and National Development when work will commence to make up (i) Lorong Kasemek; (ii) Jalan Tanjong Trau; (iU) Kampong Wak Hassan off 14 m.s. Sembawang Road; (iv) Jalan Inggu; and (v) Jalan Ketuka, to kampong standard.

Mr Ho Cheng Choon (for the Minister for Law and National Development): Mr Speaker, Sir, when proposals for the making up of these roads were received, funds for the financial year 1971-72 had already been exhausted. These proposals will be considered by the Urban and Rural Services Committee at its next meeting, when the Development Estimates for the financial year 1972 -73 have been approved.
