LORONG TAI SENG COMMUNITY CENTRE

Mr Tan Cheng San asked the Minister for National Development and Communications whether the Lorong Tai Seng Community Centre will be affected by the development scheme for the vicinity and, if so, when.

The Senior Minister of State for National Development (Dr Tan Eng Liang) (for the Minister for National Development and Communications): Mr Speaker, Sir, the Lorong Tai Seng Community Centre falls within Perseverance Estate. Development of the area is tentatively projected to commence around 1980 to 1982. A comprehensive study of this development scheme will be undertaken then, and at this point of time it is not possible to say whether the Lorong Tai Seng Community Centre will be affected.
