JALAN EUNOS MALAY SETTLEMENT (Development)

Encik Saidi Shariff asked the Minister for National Development, in view of the revocation of the Rules for the Occupation of Land in the Malay Settlement, Jalan Eunos, whether there are plans for development of the land, and, if so, when the development will be carried out and how it will affect the residents.

Mr Teh Cheang Wan: Mr Speaker, Sir, the HDB will redevelop the Jalan Eunos area. Development is expected to start in mid-1983. The affected residents will be re- settled in accordance with the existing policies of the Resettlement Department.
