The following Bills were assented to by the President of the Republic of Singapore on the date stated:
6th October, 1983
(i) The Public Utilities (Amendment) Bill;
(ii) The National Statistical Commission of Singapore (Repeal) Bill; and
(iii) The Mass Rapid Transit Corporation Bill.

The House being met, the Clerk at the Table informed the House of the absence of Mr Speaker from this day's sitting.
Whereupon Mr Deputy Speaker proceeded to the Table and took the Chair, pursuant to the Standing Order.
