[Mr Speaker in the Chair]

The Leader of the House (Mr S. Dhanabalan): Mr Speaker, Sir, I beg to move,

That the proceedings on items 2 to 5 on the Order Paper today be exempted at this day's sitting from the provisions of Standing Order No. 1.

Mr Speaker, Sir, these four items may require a little more than the half hour that we have to complete, and I am sure that Members would rather that we complete the business today than come back on Monday.

Sir, I beg to move.

Question, put, and agreed to.

Resolved,

That the proceedings on items 2 to 5 on the Order Paper today be exempted at this day's sitting from the provisions of Standing Order No. 1.
