YISHUN NEW TOWN (Improvement of bus services)

Dr Koh Lip Lin asked the Minister for Communications and Information what are the plans to improve the bus services in Yishun New Town.

Mr Ho Kah Leong (for the Minister for Communications and Information): Sir, I shall ask SBS to outline the plans for improvement of services for Yishun New Town, to the Member for Nee Soon. In addition, I shall also ask SBS to liaise closely with the Member and his community leaders in future changes of bus routes, with a view to improving bus services in Yishun for the benefit of the residents.

Dr Koh Lip Lin: Sir, does the Senior Parliamentary Secretary know that Yishun New Town is not served by SBS but is served by TIBS?

Mr Ho Kah Leong: In that case, Sir, I shall ask TIBS to look into the Member's problem.
