Mr Chng Hee Kok asked the Minister for Education if he will give the building schedule of the sixteen new secondary schools which was announced by the Government in August 1988.

The Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Education (Mr Tang Guan Seng) (for the Minister for Education): Mr Speaker, Sir, I am answering on behalf of my Minister.

Four schools are scheduled to be completed in 1992. The remaining 12 schools will be completed between 1993 and early 1995.

Mr Chng Hee Kok (Tiong Bahru GRC): Sir, will the Parliamentary Secretary identify these four secondary schools?

Mr Tang Guan Seng: The four schools which will be completed in 1992 are located in Ang Mo Kio, Bishan, Serangoon and Jurong West.
