Dr Kanwaljit Soin asked the Minister for Finance how many medical practitioners and lawyers earned $1 million or more in 1993 from their medical and legal practice respectively.

Dr Richard Hu Tsu Tau: According to the IRAS database of assessments issued for YA94 based on income for the accounting year ending in 1993, there were 28 lawyers and 5 doctors who earned $1 million or more from their legal and medical practice respectively.
