HDB BTO Affordability on Per-square-foot Basis in Relation to Incomes

Mr Shawn Loh asked the Minister for National Development (a) whether the Ministry measures HDB BTO affordability on a per-square-foot basis in relation to incomes; and (b) if so, how HDB BTO affordability has changed over the past 20 years for 4-room and 3-room flats, after factoring in smaller flat sizes.

Mr Chee Hong Tat: The Housing and Development Board flat size norms have not changed since 1997.
