Ms Gho Sze Kee asked the Minister for Social and Family Development whether the Ministry will consider further expanding the Student Care Fee Assistance scheme to cover middle-income families, as part of the Government's broader efforts to support families with the costs of raising and caring for school-going children.

Mr Masagos Zulkifli B M M: As announced at National Day Rally 2026, the Government will expand capacity, improve the quality of care and keep fees affordable at student care centres in primary schools and selected centres outside schools.

We are reviewing the measures needed to keep fees affordable for parents and will share more details when ready.
