APPOINTMENT OF MR. J. D. HIGHAM TO SELECT COMMITTEE ON ASSEMBLY STAFF

Mr Lim Yew Hock: Mr Speaker. Sir, I rise to move,

That the Honourable Mr J. D. Higham be appointed to be a member of the Select Committee on the Assembly Staff.

Sir, this motion is necessitated by the fact that the Hon. Mr W. A. C. Goode is now on leave, and it is desired to appoint the Hon. Mr J. D. Higham to fill the vacancy.

The Assistant Minister for Labour and Welfare (Mr Mak Pak Shee): Sir, I rise to second the motion.

Question put, and agreed to.

Resolved,

That the Honourable Mr J. D. Higham be appointed to be a member of the Select Committee on the Assembly Staff.
