The Financial Secretary (Mr T. M. Hart): Mr Speaker, Sir, I have His Excellency the Governor's authority to move,

That this Assembly resolves that the sum of $2,500,000 shall be supplied to the Government under the head of expenditure and for the service specified in the Schedule contained in Sessional Paper No. Cmd. 17 of 1956.

Sir, a very full explanation of the reasons why we ask for this supplementary vote is given in the Command Paper and there is nothing which I can usefully add to that explanation. Sir, I beg to move.
