Mr John Ede asked the Minister for Commerce and Industry whether he has taken or will take steps to protect the growing pig and poultry production in Singapore by taking health measures to prevent the breeding of mosquitoes and flies in farming areas; and whether research is being undertaken to find suitable insecticides non-injurious to such farming.
