Mr R. Jumabhoy asked the Minister for Local Government, Lands and Housing if he will consider introducing amending legislation to provide for appeal against the disapproval by the Singapore Improvement Trust of plans submitted under sections 61 and 62 of the Singapore Improvement Ordinance (Cap. 259).
Inche Abdul Hamid Bin Haji Jumat: No, Sir, but I assure the hon. Member that, in the draft amending legislation to replace the Singapore Improvement Ordinance, provision has been made for appeals against decisions of the planning authority.
Mr R. Jumabhoy then rose and asked a question.
Mr Speaker: Order. The hon. Member should not ask questions until called. Mr R. Jumabhoy.
Mr R. Jumabhoy: I have nothing to say, Sir.
Mr Speaker: That question then is struck off the record.
