Mr R. Jumabhoy asked the Chief Minister to state the number of days of absence from Singapore individually and collectively of the Chief Minister, each Minister (other than ex-officio Ministers) and each Assistant Minister from 1st July, 1958, to 31st December, 1958; and the details of travelling and expenditure borne by the Government.

Tun Lim Yew Hock: I attach a statement* showing the number of days of absence from Singapore of Ministers of the Government individually during the period 1st July, 1958, to 31st December, 1958. During this period there was no occasion for them to be absent from Singapore collectively.
