Mr David Marshall asked the Minister for Home Affairs how many persons at present detained under the Preservation of Public Security Ordinance have been detained since (a) 1956, (b) 1957, (c) 1958, (d) 1959, (e) 1960, (f) 1961, and (g) 1962.
Mr Ong Pang Boon: Mr Speaker, Sir, persons detained under the P.P.S.O. have been in detention as follows:- Since 1956,7; 1957,8; 1958,1; 1959,0; 1960,2; 1961,0: 1962,3; 1963,127.
Mr David Marshall: A record year!
The Prime Minister: You just wait for 1964!
Mr David Marshall: Expect to be inside?
Mr Rajah: Could be.
Mr Speaker: Order.
