Mr Speaker: Before the introduction of Government Bills, apart from the Tourist Promotion Board Bill and the Central Provident Fund (Amendment) Bill, will the Minister for Finance please indicate whether or not the recommendation of His Excellency the Yang di-Pertuan Negara under Article 43 (2) of the Constitution of Singapore is required in respect of the other Bills which appear on the Order Paper?

The Minister for Finance (Dr Goh Keng Swee): Mr Speaker, Sir, the recommendation of the Yang di-Pertuan Negara will be required in respect of the following Bills: Final Supply (1962) Bill Economic Defence Bill Property Tax (Amendment) Bill Supply Bill Societies (Amendment) Bill.
