Inche Mohd. Ariff Bin Suradi asked the Minister for Law and National Development when will Jalan Senang, Jalan Lapang, Jalan Senyum and Jalan Selamat be made up.

Mr Ho Cheng Choon (for the Minister for Law and National Development): Mr Speaker, Sir, the answer is:

(a) Tenders will soon be called for to make up Jalan Senang under section 19 of the Local Government Integration Ordinance, and it is expected that work will commence within the next three months.

(b) Jalan Lapang and Jalan Selamat have both been included in the list of roads to be made up under section 19 of the Local Government Integration Ordinance. However, as the frontages are not yet well developed, these roads have been given low priority and may not be made up until 1968.

(c) Jalan Senyum has been approved for making up under section 19 of the Local Government Integration Ordinance. Plans are now being prepared and notices will be served on frontagers when the plans and specifications are ready. It is expected that the work will commence early next year.
