Inche Mohd. Ariff Bin Suradi asked the Minister for Education whether and when another primary school will be built at Kaki Bukit.
Mr Ong Pang Boon: The demand for primary education in the Jalan Eunos/Kaki Bukit area does not justify the building of another primary school. However, under the Rebuilding of Schools Programme in the 2nd Development Plan, the Kampong Melayu Boys School will be demolished and a new 24-classroom standard school will be built in its place. With the construction of this school additional accommodation will be available to cater for the increase in population in this area. It is hoped to schedule this school for rebuilding in 1968.
