Inche Mohd. Ariff Bin Suradi asked the Minister for Law and National Development whether Lorong Mydin, Lorong Melayu, Jalan Yasin, Jalan Kechot, Jalan Awang, Jalan Ishak, Jalan Daud, Jalan Kuda and Jalan Jaffar will be made up.

Mr Ho Cheng Choon (for the Minister for Law and National Development): Mr Speaker, Sir, these lanes will not be made up this year, as there are no funds available. Funds are allocated proportionately to each constituency every year from monies provided by the Government to the Urban and Rural Services Committee.

The Constituency of Kampong Kembangan was allocated the sum of $60,969 for this year, and this sum has already been spent. Whether or not these lanes will be made up in the future will depend on whether the making up should take priority over other requirements of the constituency. This will depend on the recommendation made to the Urban and Rural Services Committee by the Member himself or the Citizens Consultative Committee of the constituency.
