INTEGRATED PRIMARY SCHOOL IN PUNGGOL

Mr Ng Kah Ting asked the Minister for Education whether and when an Integrated Primary School will be built in the Punggol Constituency in the vicinity of the 9th or 10th milestone Punggol Road.

Mr Ong Pang Boon: Mr Speaker, as the existing schools can adequately cope with the present demand for places in primary schools, the Government does not propose to build any new primary school in Punggol Road in the near future. A survey of the demand for primary places in this area shows that the construction of a new primary school is not required.
