Mr Tang See Chim asked the Minister for National Development what plant, his Ministry has to widen and up-grade Neo Tiew Road which is being used by heavy traffic as a trunk road linking the Jurong Industrial Estate and Woodlands Road and which is inadequate to accommodate such heavy traffic.

Mr Lee Yock Suan (for the Minister for National Development): Mr Speaker, gir, funds have been approved to widen and improve Neo Tiew Road. Work is expected to commence in mid-1982 and is scheduled for completion by mid-1983.
