Dr Toh Chin Chye asked the Minister for Trade and industry and Minister for Education what was the area of land wholly or partially returned to the Jurong Town Corporation for the year 1984 and for the period January-July 1985.

Dr Tony Tan Keng Yam: ln l984, 40 companies wholly returned 28.46 ha ofland and six companies gave up part of their land totalling 15.63 ha.

From January to July 1985, 32 companies wholly returned 43.14 ha of land and seven companies gave up part of their land totalling 21.29 ha.
