Encik Zulkifli bin Mohammed asked the Minister for Trade and Industry when the construction of the Bedok Reservoir is expected to be completed.

Dr Tony Tan Keng Yam: The Bedok Reservoir is part of the Sungei Seletar/Bedok Water Scheme. This consists of two storage reservoirs - the Bedok Reservoir and the Sungei Seletar Reservoir. Water from the two reservoirs will be treated at the proposed Bedok Treatment Works.

The construction of the Bedok Reservoir was completed in July 1985. However, construction of the Sungei Seletar Reservoir and the Bedok Treatment Works is still in progress and is expected to be completed by the end of 1985.
