Mr Lau Ping Sum asked the Acting Minister for Labour whether the statements of accounts for Central Provident Fund contributors can be printed more frequently and show details such as the amount and date of contributions and deductions to facilitate verification.

Mr Lee Yock Suan: Presently, the CPF Board issues statements of accounts to CPF members in January every year. From next year, the CPF Board will issue an additional statement to members in July. Two statements a year should meet the requirements of the majority of members. Those who need more frequent statements can at anytime obtain them from the Board's main and branch offices.

The CPF Board is looking into the Member's suggestion that the statements provide more details to facilitate verification.
