Dr Kanwaljit Soin asked the Minister for Education what was the annual percentage of foreign students in the various tertiary institutions from 1990 to 1992.

Mr Lee Yock Suan: The annual percentage of foreign students in the various tertiary institutions from 1990 to 1992 is shown in the table below: Year Institution 1990 1991 1992 National University of Singapore 8.8% 8.8% 9.2% Nanyang Technological University 14.3% 11.2% 9.7% Singapore Polytechnic 4.2% 4.4% 4.7% Ngee Ann Polytechnic 3.8% 4.0% 4.4% Temasek Polytechnic 1.6% 3.6% 3.6% *Nanyang Polytechnic -- -- 13% *Nanyang Polytechnic started functioning in 1992.
