ENTREPRENEURS SCHEME (Number of applicants granted permanent residence)

Dr Kanwaljit Soin asked the Minister for Home Affairs if he will state the number of entrepreneurs who were attracted to Singapore to become permanent residents under the Economic Development Board Scheme in 1994 and the countries they come from.

Mr Wong Kan Seng: During the period January-November 1994, a total of 77 applicants (excluding dependants) were granted permanent residence under the Entrepreneurs Scheme administered by the Economic Development Board.
