Dr Lee Tsao Yuan asked the Minister for Home Affairs how many foreigners have been granted permanent residence and citizenship respectively since 1995.

Mr Wong Kan Seng: A total of about 130,000 and 39,000 people were granted permanent residence and citizenship status respectively from 1995 to June 1999.
