Mr John Ede asked the Chief Secretary if he is aware that a very high proportion of the tickers sold in the Social Welfare lotteries organised in the Federation of Malaya by the Government Social Welfare Lotteries Board the proceeds from which are being used to finance Federation of Malaya Social Welfare projects are being bought by persons resident in the Colony of Singapore; and what steps the Minister proposes to take to remedy this situation.
