Mr John Ede asked the Minister for Communications and Works whether he is aware that there is no bus service along Holland Road from the Ulu Pandan Road junction to the Bukit Timah Road junction, and what steps are being taken to provide public transport for the people in this area.

Mr Francis Thomas: This is a matter for the Omnibus Services Licensing Authority which authorises the issue of licences for bus routes throughout the island. I understand an application for an omnibus service licence to include this part of Holland Road was considered and unanimously rejected by the Authority on the 17th of May.
