MESSAGES FROM THE GOVERNOR (Governor's Assent to Bills passed)

[Mr Speaker in the Chair]

Mr Speaker: I have received two messages from His Excellency the Governor dated 24th November and 30th November, 1956, respectively, informing me that His Excellency has, in accordance with the provisions of Section 62 (2) of the Singapore Colony Order in Council, 1955, assented to the following Bills:

(i) Seafarers' Welfare Board Bill;

(ii) City Council Elections (Temporary Provisions No. 2) Bill;

(iii) Appropriation Bill, 1956.
