Mr D. S. Marshall asked the Chief Secretary -

(a) how many orders of banishment have been issued by the Governor in Council since 1st September, 1956; and

(b) how many of the persons in respect of whom such orders of banishment have been made came to Singapore when they were below the age of 10 and have been residing in Singapore ever since.

Mr Goode: Sir, the answer to (a) is 23 and to (b) is 10.
