Inche Ahmad Jabri Bin Mohammad Akib asked the Minister for Labour and Law to state the number of strikes which took place during the period 3rd June, 1959, to 31st December, 1959, and the number of workers involved.
Mr K. M. Byrne: Mr Speaker, Sir, I do not think that I can emulate the brevity of my colleague, the Minister for Finance, but, anyway, I will try. During the period 3rd June, 1959, to 31st December, 1959, there were 38 strikes involving 1,683 workers.
