Mr Tan Soo Khoon asked the Minister for National Development and Communications what plans there are to widen Queensway so as to ease the flow of traffic and when such plans will be implemented.

Dr Tan Eng Liang (for the Minister for National Development and Communications): Mr Speaker, Sir, it is proposed to widen Queensway into a dual 3-lane road. Work is scheduled to commence in 1979 subject to funds being made available.
