CLEARANCE SITES ALONG CANTONMENT ROAD AND NEIL ROAD (Redevelopment)

Mr Ch'ng Jit Koon asked the Minister for National Development and Communications whether he will ascertain from the Housing and Development Board what plans there are for the redevelopment of the clearance sites along Cantonment Road and Neil Road in the Tiong Bahru Constituency.

Dr Tan Eng Liang (for the Minister for National Development and Communications): Mr Speaker, Sir, the site concerned has been acquired for urban redevelopment. The old houses have just been demolished. Plans for redevelopment are under study and will be released when finalised.
