Mr Cheo Chai Chen asked the Minister for Labour if he will give his assurance that the withdrawal age for the Central Provident Fund will not be altered as a result of the proposed raising of the retirement age.

The Minister for Labour (Dr Lee Boon Yang): Mr Speaker, Sir, my Ministry has no intention to change the present CPF withdrawal age in conjunction with the raising of the retirement age.
