Mr Lim Cher Kheng asked the Chief Minister if he will make a statement regarding his recent discussions with the Chief Minister of the Federation of Malaya.

The Chief Minister: Mr Speaker, Sir, my recent discussions with the Chief Minister of the Federation of Malaya were of an informal character on matters of a pan-Malayan nature. These discussions enabled me and my colleagues to have a better appreciation of the problems that confront us.
