Mr Seah Peng Chuan asked the Minister for Health to state the names of the two persons referred to in paragraph 38 of the First Report from the Public Accounts Committee (Sessional Paper No. L.A. 17 of 1958), and what steps have been taken to date to recover the overpayments.

Mr A. J. Braga: It is not considered appropriate that the names of the two persons referred to in paragraph 38 of the First Report from the Public Accounts Committee (Sessional Paper No. L.A. 17 of 1958) should be made public at this stage when the Public Accounts Committee did not itself make known the names of the officers concerned. Action is proceeding to recover the overpayments made.
