Mr Ng Yeow Chong asked the Minister for National Development and Communications what are the plans for the redevelopment of the Old Kallang Airport Estate and the Guillemard Road Estate, and when such plans will be completed.

Mr Ong Teng Cheong: At the Old Kallang Airport, 3 blocks of 14-storey building consisting of 365 units of flats are under construction, and are scheduled for completion by mid 1980.

In the redevelopment at Guillemard Road, 17 blocks of flats built by the former Singapore Improvement Trust will be demolished soon and 7 new blocks of 13-storey building consisting of 864 units have been planned for completion by 1980.
