HDB MULTI-STOREY CAR PARKS (Building of)

Encik Zulkifli bin Mohammed: To ask the Minister for National Development, in view of the shortage of car parking lots in many Housing and Development Board housing estates, whether there are plans to build multi-storey car parks to alleviate this problem; and, if so, how many such car parks HDB intends to build and in which housing estates.

The Minister for National Development (Mr Teh Cheang Wan): Sir, the HDB has long-term plans to build multi-storey car parks in HDB estates where there is a shortage of parking lots and insufficient space to build surface car parks. Studies are being made on the parking needs of all HDB estates.
