Mr Cheo Chai Chen asked the Minister for Information and the Arts whether the Library 2000 Review Committee has completed its review; if so, when will its report be published and, if not, when will the review be completed.
BG George Yong-Boon Yeo: Mr Speaker, Sir, the Library 2000 Review Committee has completed its review. The Ministry is studying the recommendations of the Committee. The Report of the Committee will be made available to the public together with the decision of the Government on the Committee's recommendations in the near 22future.
Mr Low Thia Khiang: Sir, how near is the near future?
BG George Yong-Boon Yeo: Mr Speaker, Sir, I hope within a month.
