Mr R. Jumabhoy asked the Minister for Local Government, Lands and Housing if he will state what is the total area of land in Singapore Island occupied by Her Majesty's Navy, Army and Air Force; and how much of this total area is owned by the War Office in the United Kingdom.

Inche Abdul Hamid Bin Haji Jumat: Mr Speaker, Sir, the total area of land in Singapore Island occupied by Her Majesty's Navy, Army and Air Force is approximately 14,402 acres of which 4,898 acres is held by the War Department.
